Overview
Masjid Al Farooq has been striving in the path of excellence since establishing its weekend school, the MAF Academy of Chicago. It started at our previous rental storefront location over a decade ago with 20 students and it now enrolls over a hundred students each year. Students are educated in general Islamic studies, Islamic etiquettes, Arabic reading and writing, Islamic social studies, Quran recitation and Tajweed (correct pronunciation).
Program Guidelines
- Children ages 5-16 years are encouraged to enroll in MAF Academy of Chicago.
- MAF Academy of Chicago operates from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year.
- The monthly tuition is $30 per child. For two or more children from the same household, the monthly tuition is $20 per child. Financial assistance is available upon request.
Support MAF Academy of Chicago
Today, the weekend school enrollment has quadrupled; but the household income of our students is below the federal poverty level. Most parents cannot afford the already-low tuition to cover the school’s operating costs. It is only with generous donations that they are able to send their children to receive Islamic education.
