Young Muslims

And march forth in the way [which leads to] forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun (Pious). Those who spend [in Allah’s Cause] in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (Good-doers).”
(Quran 3:133-134)

Saving Young Muslims on Chicago’s South Side

By the Mercy of Allah, the Exalted, and the support of generous donors, Masjid Al Farooq converted its existing open garage into a Youth Center and Basketball Court. Now after shooting hoops Young Muslims participate in Halaqas (Religious Gatherings), keeping them off the streets and out of trouble.

Vision for the Future

At Masjid Al Farooq, our goal is to build future leaders and independent thinkers, who will contribute to Islamic society and have a positive influence on the community at large. To achieve this goal, we plan to offer the following programs with your support:

• Book Club
• After School Tutoring Program
• Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Educational Opportunities
• Mentorship and Job Shadow Opportunities with Muslim Professionals
• Leadership Development Workshops

We invite you to invest TODAY in the Young Muslim Leaders of TOMORROW.

• Sign-up to become a mentor;
• Fund a scholarship (direct payment to educational institution); or
• Help us raise funds to purchase a used van to transport Young Muslims to programming outside Chicago’s South Side.
